ACCUBUBBLE SYSTEM:

System was designed to monitor cycling of bubble in mixers tank for anaerobic digestion of waste water treatment plant.

Following description of operations, available parts:

In anaerobic digester, best way is to use compressed gas generated by digestion of solution and circulate gas trough vertical mixers.

Fig. 1 show principle of operation.

Unfortunately sludge solutions is not clean but very dirty, a lot of particles are in suspension in solutions. Pumping effect of bubble moves liquid fast but some particles may build restriction in bubble generator. That restriction will produce more bubble over time and bubble may not be big enough to mix solution correctly. By the fact lose top performance of digester operation.

ACCUBUBBLE SYSTEM will save operation by advising as soon as bubble generator or piping starts to clogs or compressor start fading. At that time operators of plan will be advised so correcting measures can be implemented as soon as period between bubbles is reduced. By the fact maintains best operations of anaerobic digester.

ACCUBUBBLE SYSTEM

System was designed to be easy to installed and operated, safe and reliable.

Choice of the RS-485 communications system allows using only four wires connection cable. Same cable is used from computer system up to probes and others accessories.

System may include up to 60 probes, 16 displays, 16 output boards and 3 computers or MASTER CONTROLLER.

All probes are identified with their own address, which is programmable at time of installation.

System used one serial port of computerís.

Interface from RS-232 to RS-485 is used to connect any computer to system.

THE PROBE

Was designed using latest technologies in electronic field. Purpose of probe is to detect very small variation of pressure, which occurred when mixing bubble is released from generator. A very sophisticated circuitry is implied to detect variation of pressure in gas line including speed of dilatation of compressed gas and flow. Probe is enclosed in a large round container suitable for hazardous environment. Probe must be installed after regulating orifice on gas supply line to bubble generator. Probe may be installed in compressor room, or roof using secondary input line or any suitable position on piping. A LED located at top of probe is present to show detection of bubbles.

OUTPUT BOARD

Was designed using latest technologies in electronic field. Purpose of output board is to interface with client SCADA system in real time. Output board allow 24 lines to be programmed to follow signals from probes. It can also be used for external control and be commanded by  ACCUSYSTEM software or MASTER CONTROLLER.

Lines are hooked to:
 RELAY BOARD's or
 OPTO BOARD's to complete connections.
18 modes are available for each line. Each line may be setup to generate alarm when period between pulses is too long or too short in true of false configuration, one shot timer and sequencer may also be programmed.

MIMIC DISPLAY

Was designed using latest technologies in electronic field. Purpose of MIMIC display is to show activities of bubbler in tank permitting to have quick look of operations. The LED's on display are arranged in same fashion as bubblers in tank. Drawing of display is made with client drawing of digester top view. Duration of illumination and listen number of bubbler position are programmable. Supply for LED's is feed trough board or alternatively form external source.
Display is usually mounted on control panel door.

 

RS-485 INTERFACE

Designed with known circuitry from "profibuss" but with special consideration for communication protocol of Accusystem this interface allows Accusystem to communicate with RS-232 used in PC. Grouped with ACCUSYSTEM SOFTWARE it permit monitoring and programming any component in system. Control panel & desktop units are available.

 

SOFTWARE

Software was written using Microsoft Visual Basic for flexibility and stability. It allows using windows; monitoring, control and modification, programming of any device connected trough RS-485 interface. Some others devices (part of family) are also accessible.

 

 

 

MASTER CONTROLLER

Was designed using latest technologies in electronic field. Purpose of master controller is to access, monitor and modify parameters of all devices connected to RS-485 line. It do not required RS-485 interface. It include real time clock and 32K of static memory. More than one model is available using basically same unit, firmware may be different to accommodate units connected with.
Unit is usually mounted on control panel door.

 

PERSONAL COMPUTER

To complete a system if PC is required. Belcatec Design Inc. may supply you one. Basic characteristic of required system are: Pentium IV 1.6 GHZ 512Meg memory, HD 40 GIG, CDROM, One serial port, Screen with minimum resolution of 1024x768.
